Trial balance and account transactions
Check every account's balance on a date, and see every entry in one account, the way your accountant does.
The trial balance lists every account with its balance as a debit or credit. The two columns always add up to the same total. It's what accountants start from at year end.
How do I run the trial balance?
- Open AccountingReportsTrial balance.
- Set the As at date.
How do I see every entry in one account?
That's the Account transactions report, sometimes called the general ledger.
- Open AccountingReportsAll reports and choose Account transactions.
- Pick the Account and the dates.
- Use the Tracking filter to narrow it to one option, if you use tracking.
Spot a wrong code?
Move the entries with find and recode instead of editing each one.
Can I send these to my accountant?
Choose Export CSV on either report. Your accountant can also see them directly once they're connected.
