See staff productivity and recovery

Check hours, billable time and how much of your effort turns into invoices, by person, job and client.

Practice reports show how the firm's time turns into income. They're built from the time your team logs and the invoices in your firm's books, over any date range.

How do I open the reports?

  1. Open ReportsPractice reports.
  2. Pick a range: This FY, FY to date, Last FY, This quarter or This month.
  3. Or set your own From and To dates and choose Apply.

It starts on the current financial year.

Practice reports are for firm owners and admins, unless a partner gives someone access. Without it you'll see No access to practice reports.

What does staff productivity show?

Staff productivity shows each person's total, billable and non-billable hours, their billable share and the value of their billable time. The cards at the top give the firm's totals.

What does job WIP recovery show?

Job WIP recovery shows the billable effort on each job, split into billed, open WIP (work in progress not billed yet) and written off, next to what you invoiced for that job.

Only time logged against a job counts. Pick the job when you log time, or log it from the job's page. With none in the range, it shows No time against jobs.

What does client recovery show?

Client recovery compares each client's billable effort with what you invoiced, what they've paid and what you wrote off. Only approved or paid invoices issued in the range count, not drafts.

What does recovery mean?

Recovery compares what you billed or invoiced with the effort at your billing rates. A low figure means time is being written off or not billed yet. Amounts are ex GST.

No figures? Your team needs to log time in each client's Time section first.

Can I export or schedule these reports?

Not yet. There's no download, and reports can't be saved or emailed on a schedule. To come back to the same view, bookmark the page: the address keeps your dates.

Can I build my own report?

Yes. Choose Report builder at the top of the page.
