Send the documents your accountant asks for

Upload what your accountant asks for, answer their tax checklist, and keep deductions as you go.

  1. They ask
  2. You upload
  3. They accept

When your accountant needs a document, like a bank statement or a receipt, it shows up as a request. Send it from your phone or computer in a couple of taps.

Where do I see what my accountant needs?

On the first page you see after signing in, under To do. Each request also shows under Waiting on you on your accountant's page and on your AccountingTax & documentsTax page.

How do I send a document?

  1. Find the request. It says what's needed and when it's due.
  2. Choose Upload and pick the file.

A PDF, photo, spreadsheet or Word document all work. Your accountant gets it straight away.

Sent back?

If your accountant needs something different, the request comes back with their reason. Upload the right file to the same request.

No. A link from your accountant's email opens Send a document, where you can upload without signing in. If it's expired, ask them to send it again.

What's a tax checklist?

Yes or no questions about your year, sent by your accountant before they do your return.

  1. Choose Start on it under To do.
  2. Answer each question. Add files where it asks. Your answers save as you go.
  3. Choose the send button at the bottom to send it to your accountant.

Individuals can also add work deductions as they spend, with the receipt, under Checklist & deductions. It saves hunting for receipts at tax time.
