Invite your accountant or bookkeeper
Connect your accountant or bookkeeper to your books so they work in them with you, and remove them any time.
- Invite
- They accept
- Same books
Your accountant or bookkeeper (we call them advisers) works in your actual books, not a copy. No more emailing spreadsheets at tax time.
How do I invite them?
- Open SettingsAccountant & bookkeeper.
- Choose Invite an adviser.
- Enter Their email.
- Under What they can do, pick Accountant or Bookkeeper.
- Choose Send invitation.
They get an email to connect their practice to your books. Until they accept, they show as Waiting for them to accept.
Sent it to the wrong address? Choose Cancel invite and send a new one.
What can my adviser do in my books?
All the day-to-day work, including payroll and journals. They can't add or remove advisers, change who does what, change your plan, or transfer ownership. Those stay with you.
How do I remove an adviser?
- In SettingsAccountant & bookkeeper, find them under Your advisers.
- Choose Remove, then confirm.
Your books stay yours
Their access ends straight away. Your books, documents and details stay with you, and your next accountant can connect to the same records. They keep their own working file and year-end figures, read-only, as the law requires.
