Statement of account

See everything you've charged a client and everything they've paid, with a running balance and how old what's owing is.

A statement of account is the history between your firm and one client: every invoice, credit note and payment, with the balance after each.

Where do I find it?

Open the client and go to BillingStatement of account. It's as at today and covers everything to date.

What does it show?

  • Total charged, Total paid / credited and Balance owing.
  • Outstanding by age: what's owing, split from Current to 90+ days.
  • Every charge and credit by date, with the running balance and the closing Balance owing.

It reads straight from your firm's books, so it's always up to date. The list stays empty until you've issued an invoice to the client.

Does it show written off time?

No. Time you write off never reached an invoice, so it isn't a charge. It shows in the client's time and the practice reports instead.

Can I send it to the client?

Not from here. There's no download or email for the statement yet. To chase what's owing, send a reminder about the invoice from your firm's books.

How do I change something on it?

Change the invoice or payment in your firm's books, and the statement follows.
