Billbook Practice is free for your practice. AI help and document storage come with an allowance that grows with your active clients, so normal work never runs short.
Where do I see what we've used?
Open Firm settingsUsage. Everyone in the firm can see it. It shows this month's:
- AI help: account mapping, and reading figures out of documents and last year's return.
- AI reviews: variance reviews.
- Document storage: how much you've stored, out of your allowance.
Each line says Plenty left until you get close. If allowances aren't switched on for your firm yet, nothing is limited and the page just shows what you've used.
What counts as an active client?
A client file with an active ABN, a TFN on file, or recent work. Each one adds to your AI and storage allowance, and the AI help it brings is used on that client.
Until your practice is verified, AI reviews come only from your firm's own pool.
What happens if we go over on storage?
Going over is fine for a while. Staff uploads only pause well past the allowance, files are never locked, and clients can always upload.
How do we turn AI features on?
They're off by default. An admin turns each one on under AI features in Firm settingsTeam. Staff always review an AI suggestion before anything is saved.
What if a client runs out of AI help?
Billbook says the client has used this month’s AI and when it renews. Everything else keeps working. Need more? Send a support request.
