Answer questions from clients
Reply to what clients ask about your document requests and things to sign, from one inbox.
Clients can ask a question on a document request or on something you've sent them to sign. There's no general chat: every question sits on the item it's about, so the answer stays with the work.
Where do I see client questions?
Open WorkQuestions. It starts on Waiting on us, the questions where the client spoke last. Switch to Unread or All to see the rest.
Each row says whether it's about something To sign or a Request, who wrote last and how many messages there are. When a client declines to sign, their reason shows up here too.
How do I reply?
- Choose Reply on the question (or Open if you spoke last).
- Read the thread and type in Write a reply….
- Choose Send.
Opening a thread marks it read for you. The client name on each row opens that client's requests or signatures, so you can see the item itself.
The client who asked gets an email about your reply if they haven't been in the client app in the last little while, at most once every few hours per conversation.
Can I start a conversation myself?
Yes, on any open request or signing. On the client's WorkRequests or WorkSignatures, choose Message beside the item. The client sees it next to the item in the client app, but no email goes out for it.
How do I choose my question emails?
The note at the top of the Questions page says what you get now. Choose Change to pick One daily summary, Every message or Never. They cover questions on items you sent.
