Track leads and turn them into clients

Keep prospective clients on a board from first enquiry to engagement, then convert a won lead into a client in one step.

  1. New lead
  2. Contacted
  3. Proposal sent
  4. Won

Leads are people and businesses who might become clients. Each sits in a column on the board until you win them or mark them lost.

How do I add a lead?

  1. Open ClientsLeads and choose New lead.
  2. Enter the Business or person and a Contact name, email or phone.
  3. Optionally add What they need, the Likely client type, the Source, Estimated annual fees ($), an Owner and a Follow up on date.
  4. Choose Save.

How do I move a lead along?

Open the menu on the lead's card and choose to move it to the next stage, such as Contacted or Proposal sent. Choose Edit to change its details.

Overdue follow-up dates show in red. The top of the page counts Open leads, Follow-ups due and the Pipeline value of estimated fees.

How do I find a lead?

Use Search leads, or switch from Everyone’s to Mine to see only the leads you own.

How do I turn a won lead into a client?

  1. Open the menu on the lead and choose Won: convert to client.
  2. Check the Client name and Client type.
  3. Choose Create client.

The lead's contact becomes the client's primary contact. If someone in your contacts already has that email, they're reused. The won lead then offers Open client.

What if we don't win them?

Choose Mark lost and note Why?. Won and lost leads stay on the board for a while, then drop off. Added one by mistake? Choose Delete from its menu.

Want them on your client list before they've signed up? Add them as a client and tick Just a prospect for now, not yet engaged. They show under Prospects on the client list.
