Give clients access to the client app
Invite a client's people to the Billbook client app, choose what each can do, and resend or cancel invitations.
- Pick a contact
- Choose access
- Invited by email
- Joined
The client app is free for your clients. With it they sign, upload what you ask for, answer questions and can keep their books with you. It's optional: signing and uploads also work from an email link.
How do I give someone access?
- Open the client's ClientContacts.
- Choose Add contact, or edit someone already there.
- Tick Client app access (invited to sign, send documents and see their return).
- Under What they can do, pick a level.
- Save. They're emailed an invitation straight away.
What can each level do?
- Full access: sees everything you share, uploads, signs, approves and asks questions.
- Upload only: answers your document requests and sees only what they uploaded.
- View only: sees what you share, but can't upload, sign or approve.
How do I give one person access to several clients?
Open them in ClientsContacts. Under Clients & client app access, tick each client, pick what they can do there and choose Save access.
They need an email address first, because that's what they sign in with.
How do I know if they've joined?
The client app column shows Not invited, Needs an email, Ready to send, invited with the date, or Joined. For one that's ready, choose Send invitation. On a sent invitation, open the menu for Resend (new link) or Cancel invitation.
How do I change or end someone's access?
On the client's ClientContacts, edit the person and pick a different level, or untick client app access. To end their link to the client altogether, remove them. Their access ends today and the history is kept.
Filter ClientsAll clients by Invited, not joined under More to see who to nudge.
