Keep file notes and follow-ups

Record calls, meetings and file notes on a client, and set follow-ups with a due date and an owner.

  1. Add a note
  2. Follow-up
  3. Due date
  4. Mark done

Notes are your running file on a client: calls, meetings and things to chase. Your team sees them; the client never does.

How do I add a note?

  1. Open the client's ClientNotes and choose Add note.
  2. Pick a Type: Note, Call, Meeting or Follow-up.
  3. Write the note. Tick Pin to top to keep it in view.
  4. Choose Add note.

How do I set a follow-up?

  1. Choose Follow-up as the type.
  2. Fill in What needs doing?.
  3. Pick when it's Due and its Owner.
  4. Choose Add note.

Choose Mark done when it's finished, or Reopen if it isn't.

How are a client's notes laid out?

Pinned notes sit at the top, then Open follow-ups, then the Timeline of everything else. Choose Pin on a note to keep it at the top, or Unpin. Pinned notes also show on the client's overview.

How do I find an old note?

Type in Search notes…, or pick Calls, Meetings, Follow-ups or Notes to see one kind.

How do I change or delete a note?

Open the note and choose Edit or Delete.

A note on a group covers the whole family or set of entities. Open the group from the client list to add one.

Where do I see every follow-up?

WorkFollow-ups lists open follow-ups across every client, overdue first. Filter by Owner to see just yours, and tick them off from there. Tick Include done to see finished ones too.
