Bring in an invoice from our free generator
Made an invoice, quote or receipt with the free generator on our website? Save it to Billbook and it opens in your books, ready to check and save.
- Make it on our website
- Check what comes in
- You save it
The invoice, quote and receipt generators on our website are free and don't need an account. When you'd like to keep one, choose "Save it to Billbook" under the total.
What happens when I save it?
- Create your free account, or sign in if you have one. Use the same browser you made the document in: that's where it waits for you.
- If you don't have a business in Billbook yet, add it first. You come straight back afterwards.
- Pick the business it's for, if you have more than one, and check the list of what will be added.
- Choose Open the invoice or Open the quote. It opens filled in. Check it, then save it yourself.
What comes across?
- The customer. If you already have a customer with exactly that name, it's matched to them. Otherwise they're added, with their email and ABN.
- Your bank account and PayID from an invoice, added to how customers can pay you, unless you already have one of each.
- The dates, reference, items, prices, GST and notes.
Your logo stays behind, so add it in branding settings. The document gets the next number in your books, not the one you used on the website.
Receipts come in as invoices
In your books a receipt is an invoice that's been paid. Save it, then record the payment so it shows as paid.
